Palitana is one of the holiest places in Jainism. Over 800 temples crown Shatrunjaya hill, reached by a climb of about 3,800 stone steps from the Taleti gate.

About Palitana
Pilgrims start before sunrise to finish the yatra in the cool morning. The view of the temple city on the hilltop is unforgettable.
The temples on Shatrunjaya were built over nearly 900 years, and the hill is often called the 'city of temples'. The town at the foot of the hill has many dharamshalas and bhojanshalas for pilgrims.
How to Reach Palitana
Palitana is about 55 km from Bhavnagar (about 1.5 hours), 215 km from Ahmedabad and 170 km from Rajkot. Bhavnagar has the nearest airport and railway station. Book a round trip so the cab waits at the Taleti gate during the yatra.
