The Statue of Unity is the world's tallest statue — 182 metres of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel standing beside the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the Narmada river at Ekta Nagar. It was inaugurated on 31 October 2018.

About Statue of Unity
Ride the lift to the viewing gallery at about 153 metres for views over the dam and the Satpura and Vindhya hills, then spend the rest of the day at the Valley of Flowers, the Jungle Safari park, the Cactus Garden and the evening laser show.
Ekta Nagar has grown into a full day-out destination, with a butterfly garden, Arogya Van herbal garden, Children's Nutrition Park and river rafting on the Narmada. Electric buses link the main sights, so you can park once and ride between them.
How to Reach Statue of Unity
Ekta Nagar is about 90 km from Vadodara (2 hours) and 200 km from Ahmedabad (about 4 hours). The nearest airport is Vadodara; Ekta Nagar railway station is close to the statue. A private cab is the easiest way to cover the statue, dam and gardens in one trip.
